Hey guys, I trying to take off a fan clutch on my 2003 chev blazer and want to know if I have to remove the radiator to do it.
I have a 2002 Chevrolet trail blazer the slip clutch is out was there a recall on them?
This requires special tools to remove and install the ac clutch and bearing. The air gap on the ac clutch must be done during install.
yes you can remove the fan clutch without removing the rad. it is tight but it can be done. it is easier with the Rad removed
The clutch slave cylinder is located inside the transmission bellhousing. The transmission must be removed to gain access.
how to take off the clutch fan in 96 blazer, trying to change water pump?
AC compressor Clutch Relay. Starter Relay. HVAC High Speed Blower Motor Relay.
With symptom properly diagnosed you unbolt fan & clutch from water pump, remove clutch, install new part, attach to water pump. Also ensure thermostat is properly functioning, water pump is in good condition( you can stick screwdriver in it with hose removed to see if the fins are there), coolant is there and system is bled (if it requires bleeding), radiator is not clogged and coolant is in good condition.
It's your waterpump. could also be a bad thermostat or a bad fan clutch.
There is a reservoir for the hydraulic clutch under the hood , driver side just above the brake master cylinder reservoir. The clutch also has a bleeder valve on the driver side of the clutch bell housing. full size K5 blazer in 83 does not have hydraulic clutch. small little s-10 blazer does possibly, in 83 but may not until 85 also., you need to know which blazer you have, little one or big one they are TOTALLY different trucks., there was no hydraulic clutch in the full size trucks until 85, including the K5 blazer
When you don't have the needed remover tool, it's a mechanic's job; it's inexpensive because only the assy belt has to be removed, the clutch pulled and then reasambled with a new part.
how do you change clutch cable on cobalt
