The clutch slave cylinder is located inside the transmission bellhousing. The transmission must be removed to gain access.
should be located on the bell housing
The slave cylinder is inside the trans. If you need to replace it you will have to pull the trans out. Its not that bad, its a afternoon though.
on the bottom of slave cyl,use Allen key
Go get a buddy to help you out. Top off the clutch master cyllinder with brake fluid. You're going to need a big bowl or the equivalent to catch brake fluid as it comes out of the slave cyllinder. Crawl under the beast and find the slave cyllinder, have your buddy sit in the cab, find the bleeder screw and loosen it just a bit. Then have your buddy slowly push in the clutch, (the pedal might just drop to the floor if its a new slave cyllinder, but that's ok) tell him to hold the pedal to the floor, tighten the bleeder screw and then tell him he can release the clutch pedal (its very important that he doesnt release the clutch till the bleeder screw is tightend again)Repeat the process until clutch pedal is firm, and shifting is easy. But be sure to keep the fluid in the clutch master cyllinder at the proper level.
The clutch bleed valve on a 2.2 liter Chevy Ecotec engine is located on the slave cylinder. To find the slave cylinder remove the battery, as it is mounted underneath the battery tray.
No.... There is not an adjustment what so ever. You either have a bad clutch slave cylinder / clutch master cylinder. Are the clutch and pressure plate are worn out.
I found the answers to a lot of my questions about my 99 Cavalier by buying a Chilton's manual for the car.
i have an s-10 myself and need to replace that too,but to answer your question i was told it is inside of the transmission.
slave is on passenger side near your starter// follow the line from the master cylinder if you get under the truck behind the front passenger wheel you won't be able to miss it.
Under passenger side of truck right below the starter. The slave cylinder for the clutch is in the Transmission Bell housing. You have to remove Transmission to repair it.
