The clutch on a 98 cav. is hydrolic and has no adjustment. If still full of fluid "brake fluid"needs replaced.
clutch needs replacing good luck! not a fun job
There is no way 2 adjust the clutch. The only way is 2 replace them. Clutch & pressure plate & throw out bearing, replace them all in one shot!!
92 cavalier 31 clutch has to be on floor and still shifts hard
the clutch is self adjusting you check the fluid level just refer to the manuel
adjust the clutch
The air gap between frictional surfaces of the clutch plate and clutch rotor should be 0.40-0.50mm (0.015-0.020").
it is most likely a self adjusting cable. if you look near the clutch itself, it there are two nuts on the cable, then you can adjust it there. if there is a black cylcinder at the clutch side of the cable then this is self adjusting.
It's a self adjusting hydraulic clutch. If it needs adjustment, it's probably either a bad clutch or a faulty clutch master or slave cylinder.
Clutch needs adjusting Syncronizers (burned) Throw out bearing
Installed incorrectly, driver who rides the clutch, clutch out of adjustment, weak pressure plate, that should have been replaced along with the clutch.
It may be that your clutch master cylinder is bad, or more than likely one of the internal components within the cylinder, have the clutch master cylinder checked.
