First you will need to support the hatch so that is does not fall down on top of you when you pull one of the struts off. The struts have clips on the top and bottom of each strut. Use a small flat head screw driver and insert it under the clip to release it, (you do not have to pull the clip all the way out) just leave the screw driver in place to the clip is released. Then pop off the end of the strut, use this method for the remaining ends. To install the new strut just simply push the strut onto the ball support on both ends.
Yes, Camry 99 has struts on the front as well as on the back.
most likely struts.
1.2H each if I do it. Book time may be different.
You are looking at $800-$1000 for all 4 struts in most cases.
I was quoted $900+ on the front struts for my '99 pathfinder. On ebay they said they found some for $200 less, but that's still $700+ just for front struts.
There is a recall on this vehicle for strut tower rot
No. The sources I checked indicate struts fit Villagers from 1996 thru 1998. (93-95 & 99-02)
No, the struts from a 95 accord will only fit acura's 97-99, accord's 94-97, Odyssey 95-98, and Isuzu oasis 96-99. But the front stru for your car sells for $70-$150 each. Hope that helps you
Check plug wires May need to be replaced
I was quoted just over $700 to replace struts & shocks in the front and rear of my '99 Dodge Caravan. Earlier I was quoted just under $700 to replace the same in my '91 Ford Escort.
The struts are mounted inside the trunk of the car. It's a really strange place for them to have the struts but it seems to work on that car. I know a lot of people who like it and some who don't.
I had the same problem with my 99 limited and the lock actuator need to be replaced
