First make sure your car is off. Then climb under and and locate the clutch pedal assembly. Find the clutch bracket with a keyhole cut out on the top of it. You need to access the bolt on the underside of this bracket. Remove this and now you can replace the part.

1985 Honda CRX adjustment nut on clutch cable all the way down yet in order to disengage the clutch the pedal has to be all the way on the floor how do you fix this?

check under the dash. look at where the cable attaches to the pedal, just towards the firewall there should be a bracket that is tack welded on. your cable sheath actually is held in place by this bracket. check to see if the bracket is moving. i just had this happen to me yesterday. the bracket was broken and allowing the cable and sheath to be pulled inside the car when i actuated the clutch, thus not pulling on just the cable. to fix this you can pull your pedal assembly out and have it re-welded or ... take the cable off the pedal and pull it through the firewall. next there is a pedal adjustment that consists of a bolt and two nuts. if you loosen the bolt it allows the pedal to come towards the driver. next, go buy a 3/4" fender washer and stick the clutch cable through it and into the firewall. from the inside you may have to wiggle it a little to get it through, but it should just fit. re-adjust the pedal, tie the cable down and you are good to go. the only problem with my redneck fix is that there is no room for adjusting the clutch and it doesn't engage until the pedal is almost all the way out.

Brake fluid is running down the clutch pedal and when you mash the pedal the pedal remains on the floor?

Actually if the fluid is coming down the clutch pedal it is probably your clutch master cylinder going bad or the seal around it. No worries it is a cheap fix. If it is coming down the clutch pedal it has nothing to do with your brakes. Some people well most use brake fluid for the clutch.

How do you fix a clutch that is slipping in a 1994 ford ranger 3.0?

First, you try bleeding the clutch. You open up the valve, have a friend pump on the clutch pedal, and tighten it back up when the clutch pedal is depressed. Repeat until the clutch feels normal. If this doesn't take care of it, there is no fixing the clutch - the clutch disc and pressure plate will have to be replaced.
