1) Unplug the wire to the headlight.
2) Remove black rubber piece surrounding the headlight bulb. Can be hard to remove, just pull gently.
3) ... This is what threw me off... The clip that holds the bulb is supposed to be pulled to the side (to unlatch it), then pushed towards the engine. (I thought it needed to be pushed down, but it doesn't.

you can go to a auto shop and buy a rx300 bulb and after you can get someone to remove the headlight and you can remove the bulb and put the new one.
The headlight assembly does not need to be removed in order to change a light bulb. Take hold of the light bulb connector. Push the connector in and turn to the left at the same time. The light bulb will come out.

To change a headlight bulb on a 1997 Buick Skylark, first, open the hood and locate the headlight assembly. Insert the new bulb without touching the glass, secure it with the retaining ring, and reconnect the electrical connector.
All you will need to change the bulb is a screwdriver and a new bulb. Remove the headlight cover using the screwdriver and remove the burnt out bulb. Once out, you can insert a new bulb into the slot and replace the headlight cover.
Open Hood. Remove the cover from the headlight by prying up the keeper. Remove the metric 13 nuts holding the headlight in. Take out headlight and replace the bulb. Reinstall the headlight and reinstall headlight and cover.
No need to remove the headlight assembly. twist & remove the light bulb from the rear of the headlight assembly. Do not touch the new bulb glass with your hands. Oils from your hands will cause bulb failure.
