To replace the spring clip on a headlight bulb, first, ensure the vehicle is turned off and the keys are removed. Remove the headlight assembly or access the bulb from behind, depending on your vehicle's design. Carefully detach the old spring clip by pushing down and releasing it from its mounting points. Install the new spring clip by aligning it properly with the bulb and pressing it down until it snaps securely in place.
Push spring clip forward and while pushing turn it towards the right. It should fall away to allow you to remove the bulb.

Open the hood. On the back of the headlight there is a spring clip, pull this over the bulb so you can take the bulb(still plugged in ) out of the headlight itself. unplug the bulb. Plug in the new one, being carefull to avoid touching the clear glass,use the bottom plastic and the top blacked out part to plug the bulb in. Return the bulb to the headlight replace the spring clip and there you go.
Bulb replacementTo replace the headlight bulb you have to disconnect the connector that plugs into the bulb, then you have to undo the metal clip with a screw driver and after you pull the clip down the bott will come off, then you pull the headlight out .
Push the spring towards the headlight and slide it downward gently. You should be able to remove the bulb.
To replace the driver side headlight on a 2004 Jeep Liberty, first, open the hood and locate the headlight assembly. Disconnect the power connector from the back of the headlight by pressing the tab and pulling it off. Remove the retaining clip or screws that hold the headlight in place, then pull the headlight assembly out. Insert the new headlight, secure it with the clip or screws, and reconnect the power connector before closing the hood.
You can change it yourself.. not really that hard.. Open the hood then look on the engine side of the headlight. There is a black cover that removes by moving the clip. Then remove the wire from the bulb. next, there is a metal clip. It is a little hard to get the clip off but once you get it off it is very easy.. Just remove the clip then take out old bulb and replace.

Mine's a 96 corolla but hopefully it will be the same. Turn off ignition switch and headlight switch. Open hood. Unplug the connector (wiggle it if its tight) Turn the plastic cover counterclockwise and remove the cover. Remove the rubber cover. Release the bulb retaining spring (this is not a curly spring, its a wire clip that goes across the back of the bulb. Remove bulb. Align new bulb by the tabs around the edge. Clip spring back in place.....
