To set the timing on a 2005 Suzuki King Quad 700, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) for the number one cylinder. Remove the timing inspection plug to check the timing marks on the flywheel; they should align with the specified mark in the service manual. If adjustments are necessary, loosen the timing adjustment bolts on the ignition system and rotate the stator plate until the marks align correctly. Finally, tighten the bolts and recheck the timing to ensure it's set properly.
On the 09 king quad 750, the air filter is under the panel just in front of the seat. Remove the seat and then remove the panel. Once you remove the panel you will see the air filer. Remove the bolt holding the air filter on and then your set.

To set the timing on a 1990 Olds Calais with a 2.3L Quad 4 engine, first ensure the engine is at TDC (top dead center) for cylinder one on the compression stroke. Then, locate the timing mark on the crankshaft pulley and the timing tab on the engine. Use a timing light to check the timing; if adjustments are needed, loosen the distributor hold-down bolt and rotate the distributor until the timing light indicates the desired timing mark. Finally, retighten the distributor bolt and recheck the timing to ensure it remains in the correct position.
To set the timing on a Kawasaki 750 LTD with dual overhead cams, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke of the first cylinder. Align the timing marks on the cam sprockets with the marks on the cylinder head, ensuring the cam lobes are oriented correctly. Adjust the positioning of the cam chain or tensioner as needed to achieve proper alignment. Finally, double-check the timing before reassembling the engine to ensure optimal performance.
Neither its a gear set. Well depending if you have the 2.2 Ecotec or the 2.4 QUAD DOCH. Those engines have timing chains. The 2.0 has 2 gears. one on the crank and one on the cam. The others both have timing chains because they are DOCH 16 Valvers
To set the timing on a 1978 Case 580 Construction King backhoe, first, ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke for the number one cylinder. Next, remove the timing cover to access the timing marks on the crankshaft and camshaft gears. Align the timing marks according to the manufacturer's specifications and adjust the distributor to ensure the ignition timing is set correctly. Finally, reassemble any components removed and start the engine to verify proper timing.
Spark plug gap is .031in., distributor Point gap .012in. , ignition timing is set at 0 degrees TDC at 700 rpm for a manual transmission and 750 rpm for an auto transmission.
