no,their must be a leak inside your radiator where the trans lines are screwed in. The water in the radiator is to help keep trans fluid that passes thru radiator cool. should have no water coming out of trans lines.

You have a loud ticking sound coming from under the cab almost sounds like a valve tap but its under the cab near the trans its not the trans you had that looked at any ideas?
check exhaust for a leak. check starter motor and make sure the bolts are tight. you dont say if the noise is there while stationary or just when moving.
