Unlock the tab on the large part of the cable near the carb linkage. Push the cable all the way into the large part and lock it back down. press the accelerator all the way to the floor from inside the car. ( NOT from at the carburetor as many will extend it too far)

A Grand Caravan would have the 41TE transmission which does not have a throttle or kickdown cable.
Need more information... What year, make and model. Is it a 3 speed automatic ( TH350 ) or an overdrive (700R4). Does it have OEM carb or aftermarket.
