Most engines run in the 195-220 deg F area.

The engine temp sensor is on the front of the engine, next to the thermostat housing.The engine temp sensor is on the front of the engine, next to the thermostat housing.
on the 13b engine it should be behind the waterpump, just below the thermostat.

The temp sending unit should be found close to the thermostat housing. It will have a single wire attached to it.

Its too hot engine temp should range between 180 & 195 depending on which thermost you have.
it usually turns on around 200 degrees
That indicates the engine temp is running to low: the computer should give a check engine light and often the temp gauge will not work either. you need to replace the thermostat
