It is by all means better, and easier to change the clutch & pressure plate by pulling the transmission. Just remember to "block up your engine" before pulling the transmission.
No you do not, you can leave the transmission were it's at. Just put a jack under the transmission to keep it from falling out.
Mitsubishi eclipse is famous because of failing transmission. If I were you I would start with checking transmission fluid level. But most likely you will have to change transmission or fix one you have.
the 400 turbo is made for more pulling that's whats in my 85 gmc 2500 its just a heavy very expensive transmission.
its on a 93 GMC Sierra Pick up it was working fine and then just one day it just quit
An example sentence would be: "Are you pulling my leg? "
it is possible, but it takes more work then just pulling and dropping...you would need engine mount relocation, i believe a transmission, computer, and wire harness. it's alot more work and money than just buying a different car...
Bad syncro in the transmission, mainly bad transmission. Hard shifting can cause the problem. Transmission can be rebuild or syncro replaced possibly might be cheaper just to get a new one from the junk yard. dont race a stock transmission on a 92 eclipse.
Usually just by pulling them out with a special pair of plastic pliers called fuse pullers. It would be recommended to find the cause of the blown fuse first.
NO - just the automatics use the transmission coolers
You should put in into overdrive at all times unless your pulling something and the transmission shifts back and forth then just use drive so you wont damage the transmission
right above the oil dipstick! Just start pulling things out and if the fluid looks red you have found it!
