To hook up the vacuum lines on a 1981 Chevy 305 V8 truck, first identify the vacuum sources on the intake manifold, which typically include ports for the brake booster, PCV valve, and any emissions controls. Connect the brake booster line to the largest port on the manifold, the PCV valve line to a designated port, and any other lines based on the truck's specific configuration. Refer to a vacuum diagram for your model to ensure proper routing and avoid any leaks or vacuum loss. Always double-check connections against the original setup for accuracy.

The new one snaps right back in.
