On the 1993 Chevrolet Astro, wire number one typically goes to the terminal that is located at the front of the distributor cap, which is usually marked or identified as the number one position. This position corresponds to the cylinder number one in the engine. It's important to ensure that the ignition wires are routed correctly to maintain proper firing order and engine performance. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for specific wiring diagrams and instructions.
where is number one on a vortex 4.3 v-6 distributor cap
On my Astro, the firing order is located on the distributor cap- Where each plug wire goes into the cap, there is a number on the cap-find#1 go clockwise for the next number etc. That's your firing order
in number 1
number one wire will point to the number one cylinder
The marked # 1 position on the distributor cap faces to the FRONT
It's the distributor rotor that you are looking for & it's under the distributor cap. Remove the distributor cap and there you will find the rotor.
The wire sequence on the distributor cap just goes 1 thru 6, clockwise, starting from the number one position (which should be marked either on the cap or distributor).
In the distributor under the cap
The distributor cap should have the number 1 marked on it. The distributor cap is installed with the # 1 position facing the engine , slightly towards the drivers side of the engine
follow first wire on drivers side at front of engine to cap
I just replaced one on my 1992 astro and it was $120 just for the distributor not including the rotor and cap
Try replacing the distributor cap.
