You'll need to take the harmonic balancer off and remove the timing cover to see it. Often you need to remove the timing belt to get it out.

The 92 tempo doesn't have a crankshaft sensor. However the multi-port fuel injected models do have a Camshaft Position Sensor located near the distributor.
Did you check the windshield wiper tank? I also owne a 92 Diamante, I thought at first that it was my coolant, checked my owners manual it was, like said b4 washer fluid, wich was full, I simply unpluged the sensor, not the pump but the sensor it is the plug on top of the two to choose from, bingo light is out no more worries

If you mean won't start, check the cam and or crank sensor. If it won't actually crank then something is broke inside or just seized.
