under the intake manifold just had new ones put in +2003 6.o Chevy
It is located on the tailshaft of the transmission, on the passenger side.

As you are looking at your truck from the front the knock sensor shoud be on the passenger side right under the manifolds

replacing speed senor is not a hassle. all you have to do is find SPEED SENSOR, all cars are different, in my honda theres 4, i have replaced two already. speed sensor should be on transmission. remove bolts and pull out. simple put in new sensor.
In the gas tank and you can purchase it sepratly from gm for around 65 bucks

Sure you can. Just use a hose and siphon it out of the gas tank.
There is 2 of them and both of them are underneith the intake manifold. You will have to remove the intake to service the knock sensers.
