You may wish to consult a mechanic on this one, but I had a similar problem with mine, and as it turns out it was the Transmission Fluid that was low. The Oil light is also hooked up to a sensor in the transmission, that tells you if you are running dangerously low on fluid. A major sign of this is obviously having a hard time getting the car into gear...or not getting it into gear at all, or sometimes a high pitched screaming from the engine, because the automatic clutch works through "Trany" fluid as well, as the clutch is dis-engaged between the car shifting gears, it may use up all of the "Tranny" fluid in the pan, therefore having a very hard time switching gears or only being able to run in the one gear... -Kyle slipdunk2@hotmail.com I run a small repair shop in my garage in Niagara falls Ontario, and I specialize in the repair and maintenance of Chevrolet Corsicas, but I also do repairs on all other types of vehicles too. The ABS warning light is intended to come on at the time you start the vehicle, so you know it's working, then go out at about 7mph once the vehicle has determined that the ABS is operating properly. Thus, the ABS light should be off during normal driving, and on only during start-up and the first few mph of acceleration.
alternator is going out Or the belt is slipping
Delayed acceleration technique is used when transitioning from a stopped position, such as at a traffic light or stop sign. This technique involves slowly pressing on the accelerator pedal to gradually increase speed, which can help save fuel and reduce wear on the vehicle. By delaying acceleration, you can also improve driving smoothness and comfort for your passengers.
The ECT PWR indicator light, commonly found in vehicles, indicates that the engine's Electronic Control Transmission (ECT) is in Power mode. When this light is illuminated, it signifies that the transmission is optimizing performance for acceleration and responsiveness, often enhancing power delivery during driving. This mode is typically used for situations requiring more power, such as overtaking or driving uphill. When the indicator is off, the vehicle may be in a more fuel-efficient or standard driving mode.
I had the internal ceramic grid in the catalytic converter disintegrate into small pieces and go into the muffler. It would drive about five miles and then the check engine light would come on and loose power. It was a bear to diagnose.
Approximately 7 -9 miles. Light traffic? 15 minutes. Heavy traffic. 30 minutes
The abs light is on because there is a problem with the system. Until that problem is fixed the light will remain on. When the problem is fixed the light will reset itself after driving a few minutes.
Mercury: 5 7/8 light minutes Venus: 3 1/4 light minutes Mars: 4 light minutes Jupiter: 34 light minutes Saturn: 68 light minutes Uranus: 128 light minutes Neptune: 232 light minutes
MapQuest estimates the driving time as 15 hour and 35 minutes via I-70.
