To drill out an ignition lock, first ensure the vehicle is in a safe location and the battery is disconnected. Use a high-speed drill with a metal drill bit to carefully drill into the center of the lock cylinder, applying steady pressure. Once you penetrate deep enough, the internal pins will be pushed out of alignment, allowing you to turn the cylinder with a flathead screwdriver or similar tool. Drill through the lock. There is a "gear" on the back of the lock. Try not to drill through it.
