Sounds like your oil drain passages in the motor are blocked up. When the oil is getting pumped up it is unable to drain back down and is blowing out your seals and burning up the oil.
blowing head gaskets
The type of engine under the hood. Well known for blowing head gaskets.
No the turbo runs off of exhaust, then forces the compressed air through the engine.
If your oil pressure gauge is high you have to much oil in your engine. Overfilling your engine can result in you blowing out your gaskets.
Blow-by Engine is getting tired Excessive engine wear bad rings
breather tube from crankcase or valve cover brings blow-by to the air cleaner to reburn. excessive blow by will be heavy with oil in the air.
First, head gaskets are not rebuilt. They are replaced and on V6's and V8's they must be replaced in pairs. If properly installed, the engine will be as good as new(that is if everything else with the engine is ok. The only bad thing would be is if some hack did the job and cut corners.
That is because the compression ring on the piston/pistons are bad and need to be replaced. Time for engine overhaul.
Yes. The oil will expand as the temperature of the engine increases leading to numerous problems from blowing gaskets to aerating the oil which leads to poor lubrication of the main components. In a nutshell it's can be as bad as underfilling.
Engine oil coming from breather pipe
It is a filtered opening in one of the valve covers and allows the PCV to draw filtered air through the crankcase.Engine Breather SystemsInside an engine internal pressure is produced within the crankcase. This pressure is generally caused by a small leakage of combustion gasses past the piston rings, this is known as blow-by. If this pressure is not released, the subsequent build up can cause gaskets and seals to fail, creating engine oil leaks.
The 1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale with the 307 V8 engine is not specifically known for blowing gaskets when the timing goes, but any engine can experience gasket failure due to improper timing or overheating. If the timing chain or belt fails, it can lead to severe engine damage, which may include blown head gaskets. Regular maintenance and timely replacement of worn components can help prevent such issues. Always consult a professional mechanic for an accurate diagnosis and recommendations.
