front i think
on the gear box
I had the same problem on a Peugeot 405 Turbo Diesel. The problem turned out to be the water-in-diesel sensor itself - so I have ignored it for the last 5 years! It is probably the water-in-diesel sensor which is at fault. I have had the same problem for over 5 years on a 405 turbo diesel - so I have ignored it.
Where is the IAT sensor in a peugeot 207
On a 2001 Peugeot Boxer 2.5 diesel, the rev counter sensor, also known as the engine speed sensor, is typically located near the flywheel or on the transmission housing. It may be mounted on the gearbox, where it detects the rotation of the engine components. If you're having difficulty locating it, consulting the vehicle's service manual can provide specific details and diagrams for your model.
The oil level sensor on a Peugeot Partner is typically located in the engine oil sump. It is usually positioned near the bottom of the engine, where it can accurately measure the oil level. For precise location, it's best to consult the vehicle's service manual, as the placement may vary slightly depending on the engine type and model year.
The odometer gets its signal from the speed sensor, so if the (tailshaft) speed sensor is bad then the odometer obviously will not work
There is no such thing as an "odometer sensor." There is a vehicle speed sensor that is located on the output shaft housing of the transmission. That sends info to the speedometer. From there, the speedometer and the odometer are both operated internally, so if your speedo is working, but the odometer isn't, you have a problem inside the speedo head assembly.
The speedometer/ odometer signals come from the ABS sensors. There is a sensor at each wheel bearing.
The speed sensor on a Peugeot Boxer is on top of the gearbox. It is near the driver's side drive shaft inner CV.
Speedometer is ran by electronic sensor on rear end. Odometer is ran from speedometer. If both don't work problem is sensor. If speedometer works sensor is okay. If speedometer works and odometer does not problem is in mechanical parts (gears) of of odometer and has to be replaced. Can get used from eBay (search for speedometer or odometer, is one unit) or take to dealer.
Odometer is usually controlled by the speed sensor not a fuse . In most vehicles it is sticking out the side of the transmission
