To be honest, sometimes it can be extremely difficult to choose which equation you should use depending on whether the solution is basic or acidic. But what I do know, is that when the pka is small then the solution is acidic, and when the pka is large then the solution is basic. "A weak acid has a pKa value in the approximate range −2 to 12 in water. Acids with a pKa value of less than about −2 are said to be strong acids. " this being said, its hard to distinguish whether a solution is acidic or basic since they both have such a wide range of pka values. but if you want just a general guideline then i would stick with the rule "high pka=basic, low pka=acidic
Sometimes if we accidentally eat or drink something,we should know if that thing is dangerous or not.We need to know if that thing is acidic or basic( Chemistry deals with acids, bases etc).so that's why it is important to know if that thing is acidic or basic to know if it is safe or not
i don't know please tell me because i have a test tomorrow thanks.
For one to test whether a soft drink is acidic, neutral or basic, You would have to first know the pH of the drink. Mehtyl orange and phenolphthalene when used in the soft drink will give a precise colour.
The pH scale ranges from 0 - 14 with 0 being the most acidic, 14 being the most basic (or base/alkaline) and 7 being neutral (like water). This means that something with a pH of 3 would be a strong acid and would be about 10,000 times more acidic than water which would be close to soda or grapefruit juice.
i do not know if wee is acidic but I can tell you this: go on to google and type in xnxx. or type in red tube.

To check the acidity of the soil all u have to do is check it with a pH paper. If the value shows a colour red or some colour near to it it means the soil is acidic in nature. But if the colour is blue or greenish, it is basic in nature.
yes. i dont know why or how. it just will
because it can affect the crops production
We had a laboratory activity in our class and we burnt sulfur, then we placed blue and red litmus papers which are indicators to know if a substance is acidic or basic, the blue litmus paper turned red therefore the product of burning sulfur powder is acidic

the organic compound three kind normal, acid and basic compound for acid compound the pKa from 3 to 5, normal pKa around 7 and basic compound more than 7 also you can know the kind of organic compound from structure that you can see acidic or basic grope like carboxylic acid or amine.
Different species of plants require different levels of soil pH.
They use a pH meter. The scale is called pH scale, any value below 7 is acidic (the lower, the more acidic) Any value more than 7 is basic(the higher, the more basic) 7 is neutral, like water for example.
DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid. DNA is made of three types of molecules in equal proportions - basic nucleotides, sugar deoxyribose and acidic phosphate groups. It's the acidic part of the molecule that dominates, and that is why we know DNA as an acid.
