I've had one for many years - quite simple. Pour about 1/2 cup water into unit,
then plug it in. There is supposed to be a "dot" on the top of hair-setter in the
center back of lid but you don't need this. Takes about 10-15 mins. for rollers to get hot enough to be effective. Shake off extra moisture on roller if too wet after removing from set and close lid afterwards. Your hair-setter should "click" off once it goes thru cycle of heating up but if not just unplug and
turn unit upside down to get rid of any residual water. If you don't get to set your hair fast enough during cycle, just pour a bit more water in. I leave the lid
open a tad to get it dry so avoid any rusting action internally after finishing. That's about it.
I use those "bobby pins" that are really large/long to secure curlers to DRY hair.
This set works great on coarse, thick wavy hair especially well - softens it and holds style.
