Usually, to have a fast chemical reaction, you want high temperatures.

However, it is not favorable to have these high temperatures in cells (for many reasons; ask another question if you want reasons)

Therefore, organisms use enzymes to catalyze reactions.

Essentially, you're achieving the same goal of a fast reaction by using a different mechanism (enzyme vs. high temp).

In sustaining life, you need fast reactions because most reactions occur very very slowly..

The answer to your question is yes..without enzymes chemical reactions necessary for life would not occur at a rate sufficient to sustain life.

True, enzymes are catalysts which only affect the rate of reaction allowing the reaction to occur at a much faster rate than would otherwise be possible.

Describe the role of energy in chemical reactions?

Chemical reactions that release energy often occur spontaneously. Chemical reactions that absorb energy will not occur without energy.

Why is water important in the cells in your body explain with chemical reactions?

It speeds up the chemical reactions so most reactions wouldn't happen without water.

What is the Sufficient but not necessary causes of disease?

Sufficient cause is a cause without which will not cause the disease but with it will absolutely will cause the disease.

What is the substance that changes the rate of chemical reactions without being changed called?

In biological systems an enzyme speeds up the reaction without changing it. In other chemical reactions this function is achieved by a catalyst.

Does enzyme contains high sugar?

No. An enzyme is a chemical that speeds up chemical reactions without adding any energy to them. Sugar is an energy source that makes some chemical reactions happen. They are different things and work on different principles.

Is it true enzymes decrease the rates of chemical reactions?

true they decrease the rates of chemical reactions this i right not the other dudes awnser:P

Most chemical reactions within cells not take place without what?

Most chemical reactions within cells could not take place without....WATER! water also helps cells keep their size and shape and keeps the temperature of cells from changing rapidly

Are chemical reactions that absorb energy will occur without a source of energy?

1 Chemical digestion would not be possible without that speed up the rate of chemical reactions in your body?

enzymes

What are the chemical reactions involves in sublimation?

Sublimation, per se, does not involve any chemical reactions. It is simply a physical change of a substance going from a solid to a gas without passing through the liquid phase.

Why are enzymes important in a cell?

Enzymes speed up chemical reactions in a cell. without enzymes, many chemical reactions that are neccassarry for life would either take to long or not occur at all.
