Well considering how many wars there were here are just a few well known:
The Cold War - not a violent conflict but rather a massive arms race between USA and USSR, began imediately after WWII in 1945 and ended in 1990. The war nearly escalated when US and Soviet tank conwoys et in a crossroads, and remained there for several hours, after what the US troops backed down, allowing USSR's tanks to pass.
Greek Civil War 1946-1949 between Yugoslavia supported communist forces and USA supported goverment. Officialy the goverment won, however the royal family was forced from the country and communists took over.
Vietnam War - part of the Second Indochina War this war began in 1956 and ended in 1975 when the defeated US army withdrew, and North Vietnam took control of Saigon, their objective city.
Algerian War of Independence - Algeria won independence from France in a bloody guerilla war that lasted from 1954 to 1962.
Afghan Civil War - part of this conflict are also the Soviet insurgency of Afghanistan form 1979 to 1989 and the American invasion of Afghanistan from 1991 to present. The conflict itself began in 1978 and is ongoing.
The III Balkan War - the name is not correct as this was a conflict between the Yugoslavian Peoples Army (JNA) and para-military Croatian terrorist units aided by USA. It started in 1991 and ended in 1992 with dividing of Yugoslavia.
Kosovo uprising - the conflict began when a number of Albanians populating South Serbia (Kosovo) attacked Serbs in that region and raised an albanian flag. The attack escalated when the Albanian terroristic organization Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) supported by USA performed genocide over the Serbian populance. After a non authorized declaration of Kosovo's independence in 2008 the Russian army invaded, leaving Kosovo a legitimate part of Serbia. Officialy the conflict is ongoing.
Gulf War - Started in 1991 when USA forces invaded Iraq supposedly to "protect Kuwait's and Iran's independence". The war was actually part of the "hunt for oil" and Kuwait received little help in the conflict. The war became famous for the huge casualties in the marines, which the US attempted to hide. The conflict has supposedly ended. However, recently there have been signs of America's plans to invade Iran, one of the countries they were "protecting".
African World War - a series of civil wars usually followed by foreign insurgencies and large mercenary presence in the area of conflict. The most adressed is the Congo Civil War, which started in 1998 and is as most others, ongoing.
The Palestinian Civil War- started when Palestine was denounced by USA and was given to Jewish people renaiming it Israel. As shown by yearly polulation charts, at least several genocides were performed over the Palestinians, by the US equipment aided Israeli forces. The conflict is ongoing, with the Palestinian forces suprisingly defeating the more powerfull Israel army in several occasions.
Also though not a war, the Bay of Pigs - was an important battle between Cuba and combined troops of CIA and US trained mexican-cuban forces. The USA attempted to take over Cuba in a fast strike of CIA operatives followed by a sweep by their newly trained army. The attack was a total failure, as most troops were killed upon landing and the CIA operatives were cought and imprisoned.
second world war

The Indian Wars, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War (1990), and the Iraq War.
Some major conflicts and wars in Europe since World War II include the Cold War, the Balkan Wars, the conflicts in Northern Ireland, and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Only the first World War had a morro which was "The War To End All Wars" the WW2 did not
World War 1 happened first and World War 2 happened second.
Because it was involved of the whole world at war, America, Europe, Asia, Oceanic and Africa had effects from the wars
One thing that's interesting about that war-It took place in 1914, which is when Christ became king of Jehovah God's kingdom. The Bible explains how this is so. In Daniel 4:10-17 tells about a vision that Nebuchadnezzar had, 1 that was pivotal not just for back then but for our day. The angel that was speaking in it had declared that Nebuchadnezzar would lose his sanity for a period of "seven times". (Daniel 4:16) However, the angel also mentions that the purpose of Nebuchadnezzar's humbling was to show that Jehovah has the power to give the kingdom of mankind (not just Babylon) to whomever He wants, even the "lowliest of men". (Daniel 4:17) So this shows that the prophecy has a broader fulfillment, as well as 1 other point-The "seven times". In order to calculate the "times" in a much broader sense, one has to use the math rule given in Numbers 14:34 & Ezekiel 4:6-"A day for a year". In Revelation 12:6 & 14 show that 1,260 days equal 3.5 "times". This means that 1 'time' would be 360 days. Using the "day for a year" rule, 360 days would equal 360 years. If you were to do that 7 times, you would end up with 2,520 years. Jesus had said that Jerusalem (which represented God's kingdom at the time) would be trampled on by the nations until a fulfilled time. (Luke 21:24) This "trampling" was still happening while Jesus was on Earth, so that would point to a future time it would end. The last king that reigned over Jerusalem on Earth was in 607 B.C.E., which is when the 'trampling' started. No one would take the throne until Jesus, who would have "the legal right" to do so. (Ezekiel 21:26-27) With that information, if you look at the prophecy in Daniel, specifically the points about the "kingdom of mankind" and the "seven times", you can see where the need to use the "day for a year" rule comes into play. Starting with 607 B.C.E., if you go forward 2,520 years, you end up in 1914 A.D. (since there is no zero year), when World War 1 began. This is also when Satan was tossed out of Heaven after losing the war there. (Revelation 12:7-9) (New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures)
The United States proper was not damaged or seriously affected by the First or Second World Wars. America helped to rebuild Europe, Japan & the Philippines after the Second World War.
The United States fought as a whole, and not particular to individual states.
did it end in 1945 has there been anymore wars since the 2nd world war
