The United Kingdom are currently taking a role in the War on Terrorism against Al Qaeda in Afghanistan. The U.K. are currently (18th March 2011) taking a minor role in the no-fly zone over Libya that the United Nations instigated. They are not at war with Libya though.
The government is defenitly in support of military action, because we are bombing that area with our planes and bombers. As for the people's oppinion, that remains to be seen.
