It depends. Most toolbars feature some sort of quick access search box (Google, Yahoo, blekko, Ask.com, McAfee secure search, etc.). Some toolbars will have features like a mail notifier, favorites organizer, small news feed, or weather. However, toolbars are often considered to be 'malware' and can potentially harm your computer or internet browser. Also, they can block your view of a webpage, slow down the speed of your browser, change your home page, or even crash. Instead of downloading a toolbar (unless it is offered in a trial play and you want the software offered), I would suggest downloading addons which can do the most of the same things and are a lot nicer to look at (in my opinion).
