SONAR
is an internal network that uses Internet technologies
Port 3389 is the only port you need to open. Windows will attempt to stream sound through User Datagram Protocol (UDP) first. If no port is available for UDP, sound will stream through a virtual channel in Remote Desktop Protocol, which uses port 3389. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/mobility/rdfaq.mspx

Active remote sensing uses its own electromagnetic radiation and use microwaves. It maps areas hard to map.
The four types of remote sensing are passive remote sensing (detects natural radiation), active remote sensing (emits energy and measures its reflection), aerial photography (uses cameras on aircraft or satellites), and satellite imaging (capturing images from space using satellites).
Active remote sensing uses its own energy source to illuminate the target and measure the reflected signals, such as radar. Passive remote sensing relies on external energy sources, like the sun, and measures the natural radiation emitted or reflected by the target, such as with optical sensors.
Remote controls use both infrared and radio frequency technologies. Your typical TV remote uses infrared and your typical car remote uses RF.

The remote sensing device that uses a system of 27 satellites transmitting microwaves is the Global Positioning System (GPS). These satellites orbit the Earth and provide location and timing information to GPS receivers on the ground. By analyzing the microwave signals received from multiple satellites, GPS receivers can calculate precise positions anywhere on Earth.
Remote infrastructure management is often used by companies that have an internet technologies (also called IT) team. Almost every business on the planet uses IT people.
The Global Positioning System uses an array of near earth orbit satelites and a fancy radio in the hand to help you find out where on earth you are. Remote Sensing uses on satelite to take a picture from space so that Farmers can see what is growing on their land. It is also used by Governments to identify the extent and severity of damage from earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions.
The advantages of remote sensing include the ability to collect information over large spatial areas; to characterize natural features or physical objects on the ground; to observe surface areas and objects on a systematic basis and monitor their changes over time;
