people who have the new itouch and the new iphone BUT theres this app called tango which allows you to use your old iphone cam for facetime
No, you cannot initiate a FaceTime call when the iPhone is locked. However, if someone calls you via FaceTime while your iPhone is locked, you can answer the call directly from the lock screen. Once you answer, the phone will unlock automatically, allowing you to use FaceTime.
No. The only iPhone that has the ability to FaceTime is the iPhone 4.
No you both have to have an iphone 4 :)
No software is required to use Facetime on the iPhone 4. It is required that you be on a WiFi connection. Facetime can only be done from one iPhone 4 to another iPhone 4. If you are using Facetime on a jailbroken iPhone then it is possible to Facetime chat with out using a WiFi connection. Simply go into Cydia and search for a package called My3G. This app allows you to trick your iPhone into thinking is it on Wifi connection allowing for Facetime chat over a 3G connection. An alternative to using Facetime would be Skype. Skype can be downloaded in the Apple App Store. Skype is video chat that can be done from iPhone 4 to iPhone 4 or iPhone 4 to a computer or computer to computer.
Original Answer by Chohw0916 Edited by Arianna Lovendino For now, yes. Facetime is only available to iPhone 4. As far as I know, however, Apple is working to make Facetime available on the 3G network. I hope this helps.
Yes, it is called FaceTime. An iPhone 5 can FaceTime any other Apple product that has the FaceTime capability.
No. FaceTime is only for iOS and Mac. However, you can use Skype which is basically the same thing if not better.
Yes, or you can use an iPod touch and an iPhone 4.
NO you can not
The difference between the Iphone 4 and the iPod Touch is that the iPhone is techincally a iPod, but with phoning capabilities. Also, the iPhone 4 can use FaceTime, a app that use video calling. Also, the newest iPod has FaceTime too. So, both the iPhone and the iPod are both the same.
Yes, the iPhone 5 has FaceTime. However, you can only use this with someone who also has an iPhone with FaceTime or a Mac computer running Mac OS X 10.6.6 or higher.
