I guess you mean Jim Hogg County in the far south of Texas. This was historically the area occupied by the Coahuilteco and Carrizo tribes, both of which are extinct today.
Both of these groups also lived in northern Mexico and were referred to as "without moccasins" by the Kiowas and Tonkawas because they wore sandals.

Indians usually have Hog Fry's. It is Hog meat that is cut up in 1" squares and then deep fried in oil. Usually outside in the big cast iron pots. People will have brown beans, fry bread and other food to eat. It probably isn't the best thing for you to eat, but it has been an Indian tradition for as long as I have been alive. Hope this helps.
