In a sense. Alcohol is metabolized into acetate by the liver, which is then burned for energy. However, it is burned in place of fat that would otherwise be metabolized. The fat is then stored (one cause of the famous "beer belly"). So, it does provide energy, but at the cost of screwing up your fat metabolism. Since the fat would have been burned in place of the acetate (were it not present) there is no real gain and considerable harm.

What is the nutritional difference between acai berry extract and natural acai berry?

The difference between the nutritional value of natural Acai and Acai extract is a function or harvesting time and extracting methods. An extract of Acai that was harvested in the 24 hours when its richest in nutritional values will usually be much better than any product of ill harvested Acai. But inferior extracting methods will decrease dramatically the ORAC values od the berries. However in good products the nutritional values of the extract is almost identical to those of natural acai.
