The heat of fusion (change of state from liquid to solid) of water is 80 cal/g. That occurs in atmospheric conditions at zero degrees Celsius. The body regulates it's temperature to be 37 degrees C (98.6 deg F). The sensible heat gain of the water then is an additional 37 cal/gram. The body's metabolism has to heat that water from ice to body temperature, 117 cal/gram of ice. Of course, there are 1000 physical calories per 1 dietary Calorie. Doing the math and simplifying the numbers a little, the water consumed as ice will gain 100 Calories/liter. Where does that heat come from if it isn't additional metabolic energy over and above the body's normal metabolism? Just be careful on the rate of consumption to avoid the painful ice cream head ache or the stomach ache caused by consuming too much cold. Chewing ice is not good for the teeth, so just drink crushed ice with just enough water to make the solution flow. Enjoy a smoothie, a slurpee or slush that is plain ice with no sugar. Flavor it with lemon or lime similar to what you do with a glass of water. Make the slushie with low calorie flavored water. In order to get the benefit of 68% of the energy, your beverage must be consumed as ice. If it is liquid water, that energy was absorbed by the room air. But, it seems that 2 liters daily would burn 200 calories.
I dont think it burn calories or anything like that, but it does keep you from snacking on things that have calories so it helps.
Many years ago when I was on Weight Watchers I was losing weight faster than most and they asked me what I was doing that may be different. I told them when I was hungry in the evening, instead of eating a snack I chewed on ice chips. The leader told me that because our bodies want to keep our thermostat at a warm temperature, we would burn more fuel (calories) to keep it there. In essence burn more calories because the ice cooled our organs down. It worked for me!!!
Cardio exercise is a good way to burn off calories.
Eating pineapple adds calories, it doesnt burn them - despite what you may have read in a diet book.

stop eating
Standing
Celery you burn more calories eating it than there are actually inside it:)
If you are eating 1500 calories a day you will lose 1 lb. if you are eating 1200 calories you will lose 1.6 lbs.
Actually yes it does, if you drink ice cold water it helps you burn fat and calories whilst boosting your metabolism.
eating the same amount of calories that you burn in a day will make your weight stay the same, to lose weight burn more calories then you eat and to gain weight eat more calories then you burn
It depends on how many calories you are eating per day, your age, and wheather or not you are trying to lose weight. If your eating 2900-3000 calories you should be fine, if your eating around 1500 calories then that's too much to burn.
