Technically, you "need" 100% of your daily need. But probably you're asking how michbsodium intake is healthy. The official advise is 1500 mg or less, down from 2200- which is what it used to be. However, some people are more sodium sensitive than others. If you have high blood pressure, check with your doctor. Another bit of sodium trivia: a Chinese salad at cheesecake factory has 4400 mg of sodium. Yikes!
