Vitamin C can be found in citrus fruits.
Yes it does.but has More Vitamin D then C.
Not really. Milk is more calcium than protein!
Well, 1 oz of cheddar cheese has: 20% daily value of Calcium; 7 g Protein; 6% daily value of Vitamin A; and also 6g sat. fat, 9g fat, 113 total calories. 1 cup of nonfat milk w/out added Vitamin A has: 30% daily value of Calcium; 8g protein; 86 total calories. Note the differing quantities: 1 oz cheese vs. 1 cup skim milk The winner depends upon your definition of the phrase "nutrient dense." Nonfat milk has more calcium and protein and fewer calories, but cheddar cheese has more Vitamin A. However, you can get milk fortified w/ Vitamin A, so the choice really is yours. Be sure to consume 3 servings of dairy products daily for a well-balanced diet. Enjoy!
milk has more protein
Milk must have more than 3g protein per 100ml serving (more than 3%).
Cow's milk is the richest in protein among commonly consumed animal milks, with about 8 grams of protein per 1 cup serving. Sheep and goat milk also contain high amounts of protein, with sheep milk having slightly more protein than goat milk.
false
Skim milk, as well as low fat milks, have a slightly higher protein level to full cream milk. the margin is around .1 grams difference. I assume its a result of the fact that when removing the 'lower in protein cream' you are consuming a slightly greater amount of the 'higher in protein' milk itself and therefore slightly more protein.
water, dairy whey, high fructose corn syrup and/or sugar, non-fat milk, corn syrup solids, cocoa (processed wtih potassium carbonate), soybean oil (partially hydrogenated), sodium caseinate (protein source), salt, tricalcium phosphate, dipotassium phosphate, xanthum gum, guar gum, mono-and diglycerides, vanillin (an artificial flavor), soy lechitin, calcium ascorbate (vitamin C), natural flavor, vitamin A palmiate, niacinamide (vitamin B3), vitamin D3 and riboflavoin (vitamin B2) To Answer your question: Yes, it is dairy based although there is more water in there than milk.
By volume yes. They take out the fat to make skimmer milk. Fat has weight and when removed from the milk... it weighs less. * All milk in the Unites States is "Vitamin D" fortified. Whole milk is the one with the most cream, at 3.5% milkfat, and therefore the most fat. However, reduced-fat (2%), light or lowfat (1%), and fat-free milk must all have Vitamin A and Vitamin D added.
Compared to cow's milk (3.25% fat) goats milk is higher in the following: Vitamin C Vitamin A Thiamin (V. B1) Niacin (V. B3) Vitamin B6 Vitamin E (slightly) Vitamin K (slightly) Calcium Copper Iron Magnesium Manganese Phosphorus Potassium Sodium Cholestrol Total saturated fatty acids Total monounsaturated fatty acids Total polyunsaturated fatty acids Most amino acids (all except aspartic acid, glutamic acid, glycine, and tryptophan) However, goats milk is lower in the following nutrients: Water Riboflavin (V. B2) Pantothenic Acid (V. B5) Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin) Vitamin D Folate Selenium Zinc Lactose Remarkably, when comparing fat content, cow's milk is lower in fat than goats milk, when comparing whole cow's milk to goat's milk, and it is also lower in energy content, carbohydrates, protein, and mineral (as seen above). Goats milk has over 2% more fat than whole milk from cows. So, taking all that into consideration, goat's milk is healthier in terms of getting more vitamins and minerals than cow's milk as well as being good for those people who are lactose intolerant, but less healthy since it is higher in fat and lacking some other important minerals such as Vitamin B12.
