The Communists and Socialists, like Stalin's Russia, Communist China, North Korea, ect. Germany's Karl Marx basically started the (rightful) bashing of capitalism.
Canada, Germany, Japan, and the Capitalist granddaddy of them all, the United States of America.
Marx talked about the dictatorship of the proletariat as the transition between capitalism and Communism. This just meant the working class taking temporary control of the state and using it as part of the changeover to a classless society.
Not so much. Capitalism as we know it was just starting to develop at that time, since then it has matured and is now in it's final stage of historical development, ie. it is now characterised by monopoly, imperialism and financialisation. Smith wrote about capitalism when it was just in it's infancy and had little idea of what capitalism would like like in say 100 years. Quite unlike Marx, Capital is probably more relevant now than it was in the mid-late 1800's, Smith is not very relevant anymore.

The word "practiced" can function as either a past tense verb or an adjective in a sentence.
No. Thor is the god of thunder wielding a hammer in Norse mythology. This is a part of the 'Germanic' mythology practiced in Sweden, Germany, Faores Island, Finland and some other areas. At this origin, peoples were still in tribes and there were no nation-states.
