You cant it is physically impossible without a machine
An open neutral means the neutral wire is disconnected or broken. You will have to remove the outlet and find out which is the case. The wire may also be broken.
If you didn't burn the wire off then the breaker did trip. Sometimes a tripped breaker is hard to see. Go down the whole panel switching each individual breaker off and then on again. This should rectify the problem. A word from the wise, I have been an electrician for 42 years and always shut the power off before working on equipment.
reversed polarity in an electric circuit, means whoever was doing the wiring had no knowledge of wiring. reversed polarity means that wires ( mostly on outlets) are incorrect. the black wire goes on the gold screw, the white goes on the silver one & the bare wire goes on the green screw. most home centers have a library of how to books. they average around $20.00 each.
first of all you buy a double pole unit thermostat which should come with the mounting plate and thermostat and it should have 4 wires 2 red 2 black okay now you join the red to the red power wire and black to the black power wire and the 2 remaining wires which should be a red and black can be joined to the red and black wires on your heater .....now you should be good to go ............LEE48
More to the point is how are YOU going to get wire to and from the box. Installing the box is the easy part. You first find a stud and measure the box dimensions onto it with one side almost touching the stud. Now, using a 'Keyhole' saw or drywall saw, cut out the box shape. At this point, I insert a 'fish' tape and pull the wire through, usually from the top. I pull the wire out enough to feed into the box and then push the box into the cut shape. Then screw the box into the stud obliquely, or if you've got an 'old work' box, turn the screws on the box to fix the 'ears' and secure the box. Now you can wire the outlet or switch in. -Turn off power first .
Somewhere, there is a loose wire, a broken wire, or a wire with the insulation scraped off. Go back to the right rear light and find your problem wire and fix it. You blow fuses rather than burn out your battery. Fuses are less expensive than batteries.
You have a short (bare wire) and it is burning the insulation ( coating) on the wire. better fix before car go's up in smoke
Couple options. Strip off a half inch of insulation of the wire were the wire is separated. The splice the wires together. Apply electrical tape to the area that the wires were spliced. Or, replace the whole wire. I recommend replacement.
Yes. Anything on your truck can be fixed! If it is an older truck, it is probably a cable that turns. The cable will need to be replaced. If it is a newer truck, it is probably a wire with cracked insulation. Check the wire leading from the tachometer back to the sensor. Find the section with the cracked insulation and replace it. Otherwise have a mechanic check it out.
Just fix the wire in the back of your computer! if it's a laptop then you probably broke it!
Get a new wire
To effectively perform wire repair for a damaged electrical connection, follow these steps: Cut out the damaged section of the wire. Strip the insulation from the ends of the wire. Twist the exposed wire ends together. Solder the twisted wire ends for a secure connection. Insulate the repaired area with electrical tape or heat shrink tubing.
Solder the wire.
Wrap it with insulation
If the circuit has not damaged the bus bars in the distribution panel just change the breaker out for a new one. If the wire insulation has burned you might want to think about changing the wire for a new one. Wire burn back is caused by loose terminal connections at the breaker. As a general maintenance procedure shut off the main breaker and go over all of the breaker terminal connections to make sure that they are tight.
Look for a tan wire with a black stripe near the distributor. Follow this wire looking for a break or a spot where it insulation is gone and is shorting on a bracket or other metal part. Mine was shorting out on the rear lift bracket bolted to the intake. G.
I spliced mine in to the power wire on my raido. now if you had in installed go back and have them fix it.
