YOU DO NOT "measure resistance on house current".

You never measure resistance of anything that has any path to any source of

power ... not to a wall outlet, a battery, a windmill, a solar panel, etc. You only

measure resistance when all power is REMOVED from the circuit or component

you're measuring. Then, the range you choose for the ohmmeter depends on

the component or circuit you're measuring, NOT on how it's powered when it's

turned on.

What must happen to the voltage and resistance for the circuit to get cold?

For a circuit to get cold, the voltage across the circuit must decrease, and the resistance within the circuit must increase. This decrease in voltage reduces the energy flowing through the circuit, while the increase in resistance limits the flow of current, resulting in less heat generation. By manipulating these two factors, the circuit can be cooled down effectively.

How do you check continuity with analog multimeter?

All well known multi meters come with operating instructions. If you don't know how to use one, I highly recommend you don't! Messing around with electricity can get you a severe shock or even kill you. Check with an electrician if there are no instructions with your meter. regards gl347

What is vernier dial principle standardization?

The voltage drop along the slide wire of potentiometer can be controlled by adjusting the value of working current. The process of adjusting the working current so as to match the voltage drop across the portion of sliding wire against standard reference source is known as standardisation

What are the precision measuring tools?

Precision measuring tools are instruments used to measure small distances, angles, or quantities with a high degree of accuracy. They are commonly used in industries like manufacturing, engineering, metalworking, electronics, and laboratory research. Common types of precision measuring tools include: Vernier Calipers Used to measure internal, external dimensions and depths with fine precision—typically up to 0.02 mm accuracy. Micrometers Ideal for measuring very small thicknesses or diameters of objects—especially in mechanical and engineering work. Dial Indicators Used to check the alignment or straightness of parts and surfaces in machine shops. Height Gauges Used in workshops to measure vertical distances or heights with high accuracy, especially during machining. Bore Gauges Helpful in measuring the internal diameter of holes and cylinders to tight tolerances. Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) Advanced computer-controlled tools that precisely measure the geometry of complex components in 3D.

Explain the rheostat and its advantages in electric circuits?

Advantages in electric circuits : Advantages of using the rheostat in electric circuits is optional as you could just use the dial on the power-supply to vary the voltage (p.d.), and therefore the current. The advantage of using the rheostat is that you can control it to give you nice even numbers for the voltage.
