To fit a temperature sensor on a VW 1.9 diesel engine, first, locate the appropriate spot, typically near the thermostat housing or engine block where the coolant flows. Remove any covers or components blocking access, then unscrew the old sensor if replacing one. Install the new sensor by screwing it into place and ensuring a tight seal, then reconnect any electrical connectors. Finally, check for leaks and ensure the system is functioning correctly before reassembling any covers.
There is a sensor screwed into the bottom left of the radiator as you face the car.
