Look under the boot lid and you will find a plastic blanking plate just to the right of centre. Flip this plate out and insert key in the lock that is now exposed. Simple eh!
When you have no battery in your 2001 Volvo s80 and the trunk will not open how do you open it when there is no electricity
You need to pop the bonnet and get some jump leads and connect it up to the positive terminal under the plastic flap on the right hand side. Then attach the negitive lead to any metal part of the engine. This will power up the car and you will be able to use the keyfob to open the boot to gain access to the battery.
manually: insert key, turn, lift boot. voila :)
It's in the boot, or trunk if your in the USA. If the battery is flat, then you need to open the boot with the ignition key - look between the X and the K on the rear badge.
You'll have to use the key.
take two back wheels off then undo exhaust then try boot it will defo work
Recently i had the same problem when my 2006 bmw 320i's battery went dead and everythng seemed locked, even the key got stuck and i had to pull it out forcefully. To open the boot you have to charge the battery, now you must be thinking thay battery itself is located in the boot. Right ? Still you can charge the battery from the bonet(hood) of the car. you can open it coz it can be opened manually. now on the middle left side of the hood, you can see a metal plate with a red cover on it. Connect the positive wire of your other charged battery with it, and connect the negative terminal with any of the screws you can find near that postive wire on the hood. Now try to start the car and once it gets started, open the boot of your car and try to replace the battery because it may happen again.Hope it may solve your problem.Nouman
To install a battery in a 1985 Volvo 240 DL, start by ensuring the vehicle is turned off and the keys are removed from the ignition. Open the hood and locate the battery, then remove the negative (-) terminal first, followed by the positive (+) terminal. Place the new battery in the tray, connecting the positive terminal first, followed by the negative terminal. Finally, secure the battery with the hold-down clamp and check that all connections are tight.
What year model is? If it is a 1994-2000 you can connect a car battery to jump-start points in the engine bay, and open the trunk from the trunk release button inside the car.
To open the boot of an Audi TT with a disconnected battery, you can use the emergency release mechanism. This is typically located inside the vehicle, often near the rear seats or in the trunk area itself. If your model has a manual release cable, you can pull it to unlock the boot. Alternatively, consult your owner's manual for specific instructions related to your model year.
Just been in that exact situation. Need to charge battery, but as it's in the boot, you can't get to it! The way I got around it was to connect up a portable jump start unit under the bonnet which allowed me to unlock car with remote plip. Once I had removed battery for charging, I just relocked with plip, removed jump start and closed bonnet - all secure. Do the same to refit battery, but just remember to set ignition to position II before connecting it up. Not sure why, just something Volvo dealer told me I needed to do.
on the bottom of the motorcycle a door open to drop the battery down. loosen the bolt on the side ...but be careful the battery will drop down .
