The XFI metro has 49 horses the base metro 3 cyl has 55 horses a 1.3 4 cyl metro has 70 horses.
Never heard of a 2002 Geo Metro. As far as I know they were not produced after 2001 under the Geo Metro name.
the metros came with a 1.0 and a 1.3 so it could be either one i would just pop both hoods and look for differances yes the motors are the same. the metro did come with a 1.3 liter but that size is a 4 cyl not a 3 cyl.

I have a 1991 geo metro with a 1.0 liter 3 cyl. that takes 3.7 quarts with filter.I also have a 1991 geo tracker 1.6liter four cyl.that takes 4.6 quarts with filter. If you put in 3 quarts for the 3 cyl and 4 quarts for a 4 cyl then top off as needed you can't go wrong.

look at sticker under hood. i believe it is .39 i have a 4 cyl 1996
Geo Metro... 1.0 litre 3 cyl.
It depends on the year. 1989 - 1994 Geo Metros will usually get 35mpg city/50 mpg Highway. 1995 - 2001 will get anywhere from 30mpg city/ 45 mpg highway. If you have the super rare 1991 - 1994 Geo Metro XFI that I have you can get up to 60 mpg. These are all based on Geo Metros with stickshifts.
If you have the 1.0 3 cyl engine, it takes 4 quarts with an oil filter change also.
The fuel filter on my 1993 Metro LSI convertible is on the left hand frame near the fuel tank. Right by the strut.
no you cannot.
