The problem is with the fuel pump control. When your turn the key on power is applied to the fuel pump for about 1.5 seconds, and the pump continues to run during cranking. After cranking the operation of the fuel pump is controlled by Engine System Control Unit (MAS). The MAS receives RPM info from the ignition control module to determine how to control the fuel pump. Their are some tests that can be run to determine the exact issue. If you message me your email address I would be more than happy to send you a PDF of the procedure.
Hope this helps.
Answerapply the parking brake before turning the ignition/starting the motor. OK, so how do you reengage it?
Try turning the steering wheel hard before and while turning the key.
Position 2 on a Mercedes-Benz ignition switch typically refers to the "On" position, where electrical systems are activated but the engine is not running. In this position, functions such as the dashboard displays, radio, and other electronic components can be accessed. It is often used for pre-start checks and enabling accessories before starting the vehicle.
Something you might try is turning the steering wheel slightly before turning the key. The locking mechanism that keeps the wheel from turning if the ignition is off sometimes puts pressure on the cylinder so that the key won't turn, and pulling the wheel to one direction or the other may help relieve that pressure.
The parts inside the ignition can be corroding. Solution Spray some WD-40 in there if that doesn't work you may need a new ignition. Keys can wear down and cause this problem, you may want to try a new key before replacing the ignition switch.
I would have the ignition itself replaced. These go out all the time and will leave you stranded. Get a new ignition keyed to your current key and you won't have to do programming. A locksmith can do this for you. Do it soon though before it stops turning.
We light a match first before turning on the gas for the Bunsen burner to prevent the gas from flowing out and potentially causing a buildup of gas without ignition. Lighting the match first ensures that the flame is present to ignite the gas as soon as it is released.
check the battery conections they might be loose or even the starter conections if that doesn't work charge your battery first before trying again
Vehicles with the ignition switch on the column, you must first pull the steering wheel off, move the turn signal mechanism out of the way and then you can get to the clip or pin holding the ignition switch in place. / before you replace it make sure it is not just the tension of the steering against the lock that keeps it from turning move the wheell back and forth briskly while applying turning motion to key
You either need to turn the steering wheel before turning the key or the ignition cylinder is bad and you need a new one. EDIT: When you pull out the key to a del sol you can continue to turn the wheel which will lock the steering wheel and the ignition , if you get into the car and can't turn the key , (iN YOUR CASE) try turning the steering wheel and the key at the same time , this will unlock the wheel and the ignition.
Try turning the steering wheel until it locks before you try it, though I'm not sure this will work.
To remove the ignition switch on a 2008 Hyundai Sonata, first, disconnect the negative battery cable. Then, remove the steering column covers and the ignition lock cylinder by turning it to the "Run" position and pushing the release pin. After that, you can unscrew and detach the ignition switch from its mounting. To install, reverse the process, ensuring the new switch is properly aligned before securing it in place.
