On a 1989 Volvo 740 Turbo, the fuel filter is typically located along the frame rail on the driver's side of the vehicle, near the rear axle. It is mounted in a metal bracket and is generally easy to access from underneath the car. Regularly checking and replacing the fuel filter is important for maintaining fuel system performance.

Hey I had the same problem with my Volvo 740 GL and it turned out to be the fuel filter. Have the fuel filter replaced and that should solve the problem, if not than it is probably something more serious like your fuel pump. If it's not the fuel system check the spark plugs. I hope this is helpful.

In a 1992 Volvo 740 Turbo, the fuel pump relay is typically located in the passenger compartment, specifically on the driver's side behind the dashboard. It is mounted near the fuse box, often attached to the underside of the dashboard or in the area of the center console. To access it, you may need to remove a cover or panel. Always refer to your vehicle's service manual for precise location details and diagrams.
