To add water and coolant in a Peugeot 106, locate the coolant reservoir, which is usually a translucent plastic tank near the radiator. Remove the cap and check the fluid level; if it's low, add a mixture of water and the appropriate coolant until it reaches the recommended level. Additionally, ensure the engine is cool before opening the radiator cap to avoid burns, and refill if necessary. Always follow the manufacturer's specifications for the coolant type and mixture ratio.
On the peugeot 106 there is an oil cap on the top of the engine, note don't forget to check the level after you have put some in otherwise you could over fill it. HKP
For a Peugeot 106, it's recommended to use an ethylene glycol-based antifreeze that complies with the PSA (Peugeot Citroën) specifications. Typically, a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water is ideal for optimal performance. Always check your owner’s manual for specific recommendations regarding the type and color of antifreeze suitable for your vehicle. Regularly inspect and replace the coolant as needed to ensure proper engine temperature regulation.

Antifreeze G12+, G12 or G11
I hope you replaced the coolant with a 50/50 mix of coolant and water. Pure coolant will overheat and freeze quicker than a mix. You should have replaced the thermostat, and checked the water pump, and fans for proper operation. Also after draining and refill the cooling system, it must be bled properly, which I suspect is your problem. Trapped air in the system will cause the engine to overheat.Answeri had this problem you've got to wait for the water to circulate. just open the cap and pour more water in (i put 2L of water in)
For a Peugeot 307, it is recommended to use a coolant fluid that meets the specifications of the Peugeot-approved antifreeze, typically a mixture of ethylene glycol and water. Look for a coolant that is specifically labeled for use in Peugeot vehicles, often referred to as "Long Life" or "Organic Acid Technology" (OAT) coolant. It's essential to follow the manufacturer's guidelines regarding the correct mixture ratio and to avoid mixing different types of coolant to prevent potential damage. Always check the owner’s manual for specific recommendations.
In a Peugeot 207, water should be added to the windshield washer reservoir, which is typically located at the front of the engine bay. Look for a plastic tank with a cap that often has a windshield icon on it. Make sure to use clean water or a suitable windshield washer fluid to ensure optimal performance. Avoid adding water to the coolant reservoir, which is intended for coolant only.
you replace lost coolant through the expansion tank located at the back of the engine bay but only when cold
