I just bought an Ivanko Super Gripper and it's supposed to be easy to adjust/remove the coils, but I am having a lot of difficulty. One of them is fairly easy to move around but the other one I have to really force to get it to move positions. In addition, I am unable to remove a coil even though it says I'm supposed to be able to with ease. Am I doing something wrong or did I just buy a faulty piece of equipment?
if the coil is on the distributor cap, remove cover then disconnect wires from the coil and remove coil. if coil is on engine then loosen the bolt and remove from coil mount
Only if it has Coil On Plugs.
Remove engine cover, determine which coil is bad or better yet replace them all. Remove the electrical connection from ignition coil, remove 7/32 bolt from coil (be careful not to drop),pull coil from top of sparkplug and remove.
How do I remove rear coil springs

The ignition coil is inside the distributor behind the cap. Remove the distributor cap screws, remove the cap and you will see the coil.
Where all the wires plug into. That is the ignition coil. The ignition coil is inside the distributor behind the cap. Remove the distributor cap screws, remove the cap and you will see the coil.
You should have C.O.P. ( coil on plug ). Just remove the coil, and remove the plug the normal way.
Please explain more -coil, template.
Its right above the ignition coil. Infact you have to remove it first to remove the ignition coil.
