Not that many. If you're after calories burned, then get on the treadmill; the deadlift is an anaerobic strength training exercise. In fact, if you're training with the deadlift then your goal is to be adding weight, and in that case you need several hundred more calories daily than you'd otherwise want to break even. Adding muscle requires a calories surplus; losing fat requires a deficit. You can't do both.

On the above answer...this is not entirely true. It has been proven that Weightlifting is just a good or better at burning calories. But, it depends on the type of lifting you are doing. Deadlifts are excellent for burning calories, but, you have to be able to lift a fairly heavy weight for 15 to 20 reps, and multiple sets. Don't let people fool you into thinking that only treadmills and bikes burn calories. This is a common misconception.
