First National Gold also uses the name First Plus Platinum...They are part of Global Gold INC in Las Vegas Nevada. This company uses highly deceptive marketing practices in pushing what appears to be a $7500 credit card, when in fact it is actually a $7500 shopping card that they charge you $39.95 a month to have. You get charged this fee even if you don't use the card.

To make matters worse, when you sign up for this program, you are automatically enrolled into two other programs: ID Watchdog and Vcomm which both have charges. It is $19.95 for ID Watchdog and $12.95 for VComm. THAT IS CORRECT - You pay $72 a month for these services.....

I don't know if fraud is the correct legal term as that may be better defined by a lawyer. I will say this though, if you have been deceived by the Global Gold offer, or had money taken out of your account by ID Watchdog or VComm, you should contact the authorities. If the right law firm gets wind of this, there could be a huge class action law suit against all three companies.

I would strongly encourage you to file with www.ripoffreport.com, www.consumeraffairs.com, the FTC complaint line and your state Attorney General'soffice. I know this kind of marketing is frowned upon here in Texas.

These kind of offers prey upon people who are low on funds and especially old people. It is extremely sleazy for any company to be involved in this kind of marketing.

It's definitely a scam! First National Gold is a fraud. It offers a $7500 Line Of Credit to be used on their shopping site, much like a sears card, etc. When you sign up you pay a $2.78 processing fee for a trial membership and can then immediately begin using your Line of Credit to make purchases. If you do not wish to continue with the service after your trial membership you can just call or email customer service to cancel. If you are happy with the service, and choose to continue you will be billed a monthly membership fee. The great thing is that your entire monthly membership fee is actually credited towards your Line of Credit on any purchases you make. Vcomm offers discount long distance as well as voicemail and fax delivered right to your email! And ID Watchdog is a company that protects you against Identity theft, and Monitors your credit reports for you. Both of these offers are free trials, and there is no obligation and you can cancel at any time.

While First National Gold may not be for everyone, it is definitely worth checking into. I have been very happy with the service so far. My orders are processed and shipped quickly, and the prices are good. They seem to be adding new products all the time, and when I could not find an item I wanted, I emailed them to request the item be added to the store and I received a prompt reply and within days my item appeared on the site, and I even received an email from them letting me know. In addition, I recently was notified that they are extending new benefits to members at no additional cost. They will include free roadside assistance, and prescription drug discounts. I did not decide to keep the Vcomm membership as I already had a service that was similar, but I loved the ID Watchdog offer and have decided to keep it. A close relative just went through a huge ordeal after having their personal info stolen, and I do not want that to happen to me.
