You can store jam in a sealed container in your pantry for up to a year. Once the jam has been opened, it can be left in the refrigerator for 6 months to a year. Store bought jams will have "Best Use By" dates to help you decide if the jam is still good.
Raw meat can get bacteria in it after one hour at room temp.
