Yes. When food is cooked and left out for more than 2 hours at room temperature, bacteria can multiply quickly. Most bacteria grow undetected because they don't produce a bad odor or change the color or texture of the food. Pop it in the fridge and it'll last for about 5-6 days or so.

If you plan on eating it within 6 months, I recommend that you freeze your cooked pumpkin in sealable freezer-weight plastic bags or in tightly sealed plastic containers.
