Until it is well done.
Depends if you cook it
Venison my friend. If you can try as "jerky" I highly recommend it.
30 minutes
Deer should be aged only a few days in your refrigerator immediately before cooking. Two days in a refrigerator that is 36 to 38°F would be a good rule of thumb. Three days in a refrigerator that is 34 to 36°F. Be sure to cook all meats thoroughly, and to the proper temperature. For deer, you should treat it like beef or lamb, and cook it to approximately 150-155°F.
As long as you cook the meat thoroughly (because it may take longer to cook than the veggies, depending on thickness), it should be safe.
To prevent diseases from infecting the meat and being a danger to you. This is why you should always cook meat.
You shouldn't let deer, or any wild game meat sit in the fridge for a long period of time. It should be unfrozen (on a plate in the refrigerator) and then cooked immediately.
Venison is like any other meat. It should not be left unrefrigerated for more than 2 hours.
Game meat should be cooked about an hour for every pound of the bird. A six pound turkey should cook for about six hours.
is it 40 days all other meat does
YES, deer meat is VERY LEAN! You need fat for long term survival.
It is recommended to gut a deer within 2 hours of harvesting to prevent the meat from spoiling.
