Once your chick hatches you should place it in a brooding box, or an area that you have set up for the chick/chicks. Once the chick hatches you should help the chick find water by dipping its beak in water. The chick/chicks should have proper heat which is around 95-90 degrees for the first week, and you should drop 5 degrees every week. You should feed them a chick starer crumble that should be around 18% protein.
Remember that many diseases can be carried in the fecal matter of a chicken, so be sure to wash the egg carefully with soap and water and I'd suggest soaking it in a dilute solution of bleach and water for about 30 min. After that, you can check if the egg has gone bad or not by the obvious smell of rotten egg or by noticing if the yolk breaks immediately after being cracked. Point being, when in doubt, crack the egg in a separate container instead of adding it directly to whatever you are using it for.
If you are collecting the eggs for incubation you will need to store the eggs in a cool dark place between 40F / 58F and in high humidity. DO NOT store them in a refrigerator.
You can keep eggs for up to 7 days with 100% viability. After 7 days the viability of the eggs is greatly reduced each day.
Leave it !
Or its mum will be worried and think you want to take it and she will attack you
The egg came first scientist have traced back 1000s of years to find out that other scientists made the first chicken egg.
There are many places to find a picture of the internal structure of the chicken egg. The library is a good place to look.
This question is more of a philosophical debate. From an evolutionary standpoint, it is believed that the egg came first, as the genetic mutation necessary for a chicken to hatch must have first occurred in an egg. However, from a biblical perspective, it is said that God created the animals, including chickens, fully formed.
a chicken egg is about 50g :)
yes because the chicken is inside of the egg.if the chicken wasnt it would be called just an egg
In the context of evolution, the egg came first. The development of hard shells around eggs allowed for animals to lay them outside the body, protecting and nourishing the embryo inside. This evolutionary adaptation predates the existence of chickens as we know them today.
the egg because dinos lay eggs
There are a few places to find a diagram of chicken egg laying cycle. The local library should be a good place to look.
seagull's eggs are about the size of an average chicken egg to 2x the size.
this question is already answered -_-
From an evolutionist's point of view, the egg came first. A chicken, by definition, must be born from an egg. The egg does not have to be a chicken's egg however. The egg could be layed by an avian that is very similar to a chicken, but which is not a chicken. A small mutation in the genes produces the chicken offspring, which in turn lays eggs to produce more young.
The Chicken!!!! If it was the Egg who sat on the Egg for it to hatch?? Nobody so... God made the Chicken FIRST!
