The answer is no. Olive actually has a slightly higher calorie count per teaspoon than butter.
However, olive oil is a much healthier alternative to butter or margarine because it has no cholesterol and is lower in other types of fats that cause Heart disease.
But if your concern is the fat on your stomach, olive oil is not a better alternative.
Calorie wise olive oil is good option but one can use other substitutes too
